46 / hour Summary The Emergency Services Associates cares for patients under direction of nursing and medical staff by performing the primary duties according to established standards.
The Emergency Services Associate II works under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Services or designee, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties Transports patients to rooms as appropriate.
Assists with patient disrobing, takes vital signs and pulse oximetry, applies cardiac monitors.
Transports patients and families to other departments and units as designated.
Collects and transports patient specimens including blood, urine, stool and sputum samples.
Performs point of care testing including quality controls and instrument maintenance.
Performs EKG's and uploads into EMR.
Restocks supplies, SPD equipment, linens and logs in all areas in Emergency Department.
Responsible for oxygen tank replacement (checking, replacing in department, and changing out).
Other duties as assigned Qualifications Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
Currently enrolled in RN program with expected date of completion within 2 years of hire is required.
Certification Requirement within 90 days are required.
LPNIV - Lpn Iv Cert within the state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location is required.
In lieu of a through e above in the Education section, documented experience working for one year as a nurse assistant in an inpatient setting, emergency medical technician or surgical tech in the past three years will qualify for this position is required.
1 year of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
