We are currently looking for an Inventory Control Manager for our St.
Joseph, MO plant.
This role is responsible for controlling inventory through daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly physical cycle counts and for accurately keeping inventory information up to date by the minute SAP.
This person coordinates, facilitates, and expedites the delivery of materials, makes sure that the plant is fully stocked with the necessary materials for production, prepares production schedules, and makes sure that the operation meets customer order needs and shipping deadlines.
Proficient math and organizational skills are critical for this role.
This person must be a team player, professional, courteous to others, and be flexible and willing to put in the time and effort to achieve success.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
The inventory Control Manager will check/count inventory to make sure that all materials are always accounted for and that the plant is always well equipped with materials needed to complete customer orders.
The Inventory control Manager will conduct daily, month, quarterly, and yearly physical cycle counts to ensure 100% accuracy.
Proactively prepare for future or unexpected customer order needs based on sales forecasts and past order histories by keeping materials in stock and preparing production schedules accordingly.
The Inventory Control Manager will prepare production reports.
Prepare, organize, and prioritize production schedules based on customer orders and lead times.
Rearrange and modify production schedules when met with unforeseen circumstances.
Actively communicate with and coordinate with Customer Service, Production, and other SCS locations to make sure the plant meets shipping deadlines.
Prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
Schedule, coordinate, and expedite the delivery of material.
Communicate the status of production to all applicable departments including, but not limited to Management, Sales, Customer Service, and Shipping.
Initiate replacement orders for lost, damaged, or incorrect material received.
Work extensively with the SAP system to constantly account for inventory and constantly update production capacity.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience preferred of inventory control and production planning experience at a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility.
Advanced math skills.
Organization and multi-tasking capabilities.
Detail-oriented.
Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
Sense of urgency.
Salary to commensurate with Experience.
