No Purpose:
Oversees large groups of children within the lunch room to manage student safety and maintain a stable environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
Ensure all students remain safe by preventing fighting and other causes of injury.
Clean tables, chairs, condiment areas, and other locations within the lunch room.
Fill napkin dispensers, straw containers, and utensil holders to ensure students have to tools necessary to eat their meals.
Clean up small messes that are not significant enough to require custodial services.
Ensure that children eat their lunches before the lunch period ends.
Follow school disciplinary guidelines when dealing with student behavioral issues.
Dismiss children at the end of lunch periods, ensuring all students return to class on time.
