Polysomnography Technician II

Pay:
$23.58 - $35.37 / hour
Summary
This position provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including:
in center and home sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. Passage of examination by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), The National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) or a qualified Healthcare position (refer to RPGST Eligibility pathways) is required.
This position works under the general supervision of the medical director or designee and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
Supervises the technical operation of clinical work; directs related clerical activity; plans and helps develop training, and programs.
Performs all Tech I duties.
Performs difficult or unusual recording procedures.
Maintains inventory control and initiates purchasing of Lab supplies and equipment.
Organizes and participates in conferences and technical meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required with Emphasis on physical or biologic sciences required. Associate's Degree preferred. A-STEP Program preferred. STAR Program Preferred.
RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographer Technologist RPSGT upon hire is required.
RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Respiratory Care (RRT, CRT), Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT). These are recognized license per BRPT is required.
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure Nursing (RN, LPN, LVN, NP, ARNP). This is a recognized license per BRPT Eligibility must work under the supervision of recognized license holder per BRPT. Must take RPSGT boards within 2 years completion of eligibility hours required by BRPT is required.
BLS - Basic Life Support is required.
18 months of clinical experience in Polysomnography preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
